Advances in product design, a rise in average selling price of exported vehicles, and the successful delivery of high-profile, innovative marketing were noted as key factors for Kia’s dramatic brand value increase.
In 2013, Kia Motors was named 37th on Interbrand’s list of the 50 Best Global Green Brands, a debut for the Korean car manufacturer in the annual ranking of sustainability and environmental performance of the world’s 100 most valuable brands.Interbrand assesses businesses based on market perception and the actual environmental performance of the company and its products and services.
The prestigious Small Business Institute for Excellence in Commerce (SBIEC) California Excellence Awards recognizes companies that have enhanced the commitment and contribution of small businesses through service to their customers and community. A panel of executives and consultants ultimately selected Kia amongst peers and competitors after year-long industry research and business surveys.
